I am a clinically licensed psychotherapist with over 15 years of experience in the mental health field. I earned my undergraduate degree from NYU and my graduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh. I have done post-graduate education at the Pittsburgh Psychoanalytic Center.
Working in a variety of settings, from the non-profit sector to large healthcare organizations has allowed me to work with people from many different backgrounds and walks of life. Through these experiences, I have developed a deep appreciation for the uniqueness of each person's story.
My philosophy is rooted in the belief that mental and emotional well-being are integral to overall health, and that therapy can be a powerful tool for achieving this balance. At Held Psychotherapy, I believe that everyone has the ability to lead a fulfilling and meaningful life.

I offer individual telehealth therapy (video visits) using a secure HIPAA-compliant platform. I work exclusively with adults. Meeting virtually allows my clients to have sessions wherever it is most convenient for them. Life can get busy and self-care should not have to take a back seat as a result.
I currently accept Highmark insurance plans, as well as private pay.

I work primarily from a psychodynamic perspective. Together, we can explore present-day concerns as well as past experiences that may be shaping how you think, feel, and relate to others. My approach to therapy is rooted in empathy, compassion, and non-judgment. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where my clients feel comfortable exploring their thoughts and feelings, and where they can develop a deeper understanding of themselves.
